Huluganga Ella Falls is 75 m (24 ft) high and one of many cascades formed by the stream that flows from the Knuckles Mountain Range. Before flowing into the Victoria Reservoir, the cascading water sprinkles the villages of Elliyadda and Aratthana. It is popular with both domestic and international visitors and villagers consider it to be a part of their Dumbara heritage.

This waterfall became well-known in 1988 when it was used as a primary location in the popular teledrama for the national TV named“Ella Langa Walauwa” (The House By the Waterfall) directed by Mr. Dharmasena Pathiraja in 1988, 14 (27mts) episodes.
