Little Adam's Peak
Little Adam's peak is shaped similarly to the Holy Mountain Sri Pada's "Maha Giri Damba." This mountain is made up of three mountains of the same size and the entire area is surrounded by a green island.
Ella is a popular hiking destination in Sri Lanka's mountainous terrain.The 1,141 m (3,743 ft) high Little Adam's Peak is relatively easy to climb, with a good path up.
How to get to Little Adam’s Peak
You can walk about 1.5 kilometers to the trailhead from Ella's main strip. The trailhead is direct across the street from Ella Flower Garden Resort. We parked our car in front of the resort/restaurant and set out on the trail. The map below shows the location of Little Adam's Peak (also known as Mini Adam's Peak), as well as where the trail intersects with the main road (the Flower Garden). An alternate entrance is also available at the 98-acre resort, which is marked by a white Buddha. There was no admission fee for the Little Adam's Peak hike, which was fantastic!
Best time to visit the Little Adam’s Peak
The best time to climb is early in the morning when you can enjoy the sunrise and the view of the valley from the top. The sunset is spectacular, but it only takes a few moments for the entire round to be obscured by fog.
