Gongala
Gongala is a mountain range in Deniyaya, Ratnapura district, Sabaragamuwa province of Sri Lanka. The Gongala mountain's summit elevation is 1,358 m (4,455 ft).

Folklore
Gongala is an abbreviation for Cow Rock. The shape of this mountain top, according to folklore, is that of a cow head. Another folklore is that many cows once roamed the Gongala mountain range.
